Alevis are a religious and cultural community in Turkey that identifies with Islam but has distinct beliefs and practices that differ from mainstream Sunni Islam. Some Alevis consider themselves Muslims, while others may not identify as such due to their unique interpretation of Islam. The Alevi faith incorporates elements of Shia Islam, Sufism, and Turkish folk traditions, making it a diverse and complex religious identity. Ultimately, whether Alevis are considered Muslims depends on individual beliefs and perspectives. **

Alevis have a unique way of praying that differs from mainstream Sunni Islam. They do not perform the traditional five daily prayers like Sunnis, but instead have their own form of worship called Cem. Cem is a communal gathering where participants engage in rituals such as music, dance, and recitation of poetry. Alevis also place a strong emphasis on inner spiritual connection and personal reflection in their worship practices. **

Alevis do not observe fasting in the same way as Muslims during Ramadan. Instead, they have a different form of fasting called "oruç." Oruç involves abstaining from certain foods, such as meat and dairy products, on specific days of the week. This fasting practice is seen as a way to purify the body and soul, and is often done on Thursdays or Fridays. Additionally, Alevis may also fast during other times of the year for spiritual reasons, but it is not a strict requirement like Ramadan fasting for Muslims. **

No, Alevis are not only Turkish. While the majority of Alevis are of Turkish descent, there are also Alevi communities in other countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, and Iran. Additionally, there are Alevi individuals and communities in countries with significant Turkish diaspora populations, such as Germany and the Netherlands. The Alevi faith is not limited to a specific ethnic group, and there are diverse Alevi communities around the world. **

No, Alevis are not necessarily Armenians. Alevism is a branch of Shia Islam and is practiced by a diverse group of people, including Turks, Kurds, and others in the Middle East. While there are some Alevis who may have Armenian ancestry, it is not accurate to say that all Alevis are Armenians. It is important to recognize and respect the diversity within the Alevi community and not make assumptions about their ethnic or cultural backgrounds. **

There is no concrete evidence to suggest that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, had a specific hatred towards Alevis. Atatürk's main goal was to establish a secular and modern state, and he promoted unity and equality among all citizens regardless of their religious beliefs. While there were some tensions between the Alevi community and the government during Atatürk's time, it is not accurate to say that Atatürk personally hated Alevis. **

Both Alevis and Sunnis can convert to other religions or sects, but it is less common for them to convert to each other's specific sect. Conversion is a personal choice and can be influenced by various factors such as marriage, personal beliefs, or social and political circumstances. However, both Alevis and Sunnis may face challenges and social pressures if they choose to convert, as religious identity is deeply ingrained in Turkish society. **

Alawites are a religious group primarily located in Syria, who follow a branch of Shia Islam. They believe in the teachings of Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad. Alevis, on the other hand, are a religious group mainly found in Turkey, who follow a distinct form of Islam that incorporates elements of Shia and Sufi beliefs. They emphasize spiritual practices, inclusivity, and social justice. Both Alawites and Alevis have faced discrimination and persecution in their respective countries due to their beliefs and practices. **
